Internet Down, Tools stolen, and Update on my niece!~

Sorry I haven't been around for 3-4 days.  Internet has been down.  Haven't been able to work either since I had no internet, as I depend on the internet to do my medical transcription job from home.  That will put a huge dent in my paycheck. ::sigh::

Bad news.  When we moved out of our son's house in November, the new homeowner allowed us to store my husband's trim tools in the garage still.  He wanted us to get them out ASAP, but Hubby works 7 days a week usually.  We finally took the time to go get them only to find he had been cleaned out.  Almost all of his tools were gone, especially his trim tools.  I don't think I have ever seen him so upset in the 30 years I have been with him.  I don't blame him for being upset, as that was probably $2000-3000 worth of tools stolen, as well as our Coleman camping stove (it had never even been opened).  I filed a police report.  I have to take a more detailed list with model #'s to them soon in case they recover our stuff.  I pray they do.  The garage was open, there was no way to lock it up.  See photo below:

UPDATE ON WENDY:

As for my niece who was diagnosed with a brain tumor, she saw a neurosurgeon from what I understand.  She will be monitored via MRI for the next year every three months.  If the tumor is growing, it will be removed.  From what I understand, if it does not grow, it will be considered benign and they will just leave it, as they said she can live just fine with it.  I pray it does not grow, hope you will help me pray that prayer or hold good thoughts for her.

As for my nephew, Allen, he is home from hospital and doing well.  He does still need prayers considering the fact that he has CF and diabetes.  My nephew, Roger, who had the 4-wheeler accident continues to heal nicely.  Thanks to all who prayed for all of my family's needs.  Still haven't heard back from job Hubby applied for.  He so needs this job or one comparable.  Hope they call soon.

Guess that's all the latest news, so I shall bid you farewell for now.

Blessings!~

Prayers Answered!~

I "borrowed" the photos from my niece, Jennifer's MySpace.  Pictured from L to R:  Michelle (niece), Roger (nephew), and Jennifer.

Roger and Jenn

Roger is my nephew who was very recently in a serious 4-wheeler accident.  His doc told him had he not been wearing his helmet, he would not be here right now.  THANK GOD he was wearing his helmet!  Let that be a lesson learned for all who ride 4-wheelers!~

Thanks to all who prayed for him.  I am happy to say he is expected to make a full recovery.  Now he needs prayers and good thoughts for a swift 100% recovery.

Allen (nephew) and Leslie (niece) (I "borrowed" pic from Leslie's MySpace). They are brother and sister.  Hubby's twin brother's children.

I am happy to report that Allen is home from the hospital.  If you will remember, he is my nephew who has cystic fibrosis and diabetes.  He was rushed emergently last week to the Children's Hospital because his kidneys were shutting down.  He was in critical condition.  They admitted him, put him on an IV to get the needed meds into his system and I am happy to report he is back home now and doing well.  Thanks to all who prayed for him!  The docs did say his kidneys probably could not take another hit like that, so please continue to pray for him.

Wendy and Tony

Wendy is my niece who has just been diagnosed with a brain tumor.  I have not heard yet if she has had the biopsy or not to find out if it is malignant.  Please continue to keep her in your prayers and good thoughts.

As for me, I am feeling quite dizzy today,so I think I shall go lie down and see if I can't get to feeling better.

Hugs!~

Prayers Needed for Another Nephew!~

My nephew, Allen, was taken emergently to the hospital yesterday.  Allen has cystic fibrosis and diabetes.  His kidneys have started shutting down.  This is my husband's twin's son and one of my favorite nephews.  He is in critical condition and much in need of prayer and positive thoughts.

My nephew, Roger, who had the 4-wheeler accident is at home recuperating nicely.  I so thank everyone for your prayers for him.

I still have not had an update on my niece Wendy's condition.  In an earlier entry, I asked prayers for her as she has been diagnosed with a brain tumor in her pineal gland.

We also need for my husband to be able to change jobs to obtain benefits and enough money to pay our bills.  He has applied for a company in North Carolina.  We pray he gets this job or one comparable.  There has even been mention of him going in as a foreman, which he so deserves after 36 years in the construction industry.  This would be great money, which we desperately need.

Thanks so much in advance!~

Blessings!~

Update on Nephew!~

We found out why Roger, my nephew who recently had the 4-wheeler accident was in Anniston.  He and two friends had gone camping.  They had decided to come back home and made one more run through the woods on their 4-wheelers, all going separate ways.  Roger did not show up at the campsite to help pack the campsite up, so they started searching for him.

They searched for him for hours, at least six I am told, and were just before bringing in search and rescue when one of his friends came upon him.  He was up under his 4-wheeler, which weighs about 700 pounds with a full tank of gas I am told.  Somehow, his friend managed to get it off of him and drag him out from under it.

At some point and time, Roger came to enough to call his Mom from his cell phone.  She couldn’t make out a lot of what he was saying, but called Buddy, his Dad, at work and they took off to Anniston.

When they got to Anniston, they didn’t know where to go, but they got behind an ambulance.  They knew the ambulance would be going to the hospital, so they decided to follow it.  Turns out, it was the ambulance carrying their son.  His Mom was there to help them get him out of the ambulance.

I can’t imagine that horrific drive all the way to Anniston not knowing what kind of condition Roger was in.  They knew his leg was broken when they took him out of the ambulance, as they could see the bone sticking out.  He was taken to surgery where they put a pin from his calf down to his ankle.  He has a concussion.  The doc told Roger if he had not been wearing his helmet, they would not be having that conversation.  Thank God, he was wearing that helmet.  I don’t think my brother-in-law and sister-in-law could have stood losing another son.

Roger is the youngest of four children.  Their oldest son, Jeremy, was killed in 1995.  He was driving on a dirt road in his Toyota pickup with a friend.  The truck fishtailed and went up on an embankment.  He was not wearing his seatbelt and as the truck flipped, Jeremy was thrown from the vehicle.  It landed on top of him killing him instantly.  He was such a fine young man, as is Roger, and still sorely missed.

Please continue to pray for Roger that he will recover quickly and 100%.

I would also ask that you continue to pray for my niece, Wendy, who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.  I do not know any details yet, except that it is in her pineal gland.

Wendy’s Mom was in an accident just before school was out where she was hit from behind.  She continues to have major pain in her back and shoulders fromthat.  Wendy’s Dad has had a very bad viral bacterial respiratory infection and needs prayers also.

I would also like to thank everyone for praying for my shoulder.  It is not 100% yet, but is A LOT better.

My daughter is scheduled for tests on her heart that are going to be around $1000.  Currently, we have no insurance, but Hubby is up for a new job in a big construction company in N.C. We were told they might even possibly make him a foreman.  This would put an end to our financial woes and would be a wonderful opportunity for him.  I would ask that you pray God’s will be done in this situation.

Thanks to all of you for being so faithful to pray for my family’s needs.  Please know if you have sent needs to me, they are being prayed for as well.

Blessings!~

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST!~

My husband just called me to tell me that my nephew, Roger, had an accident on his 4-wheeler.  The details are very sketchy, but he was found underneath the 4-wheeler unconscious.  He has been rushed to a hospital in the Anniston, AL area.  His Mom and Dad are on their way there now.  The sad thing is my brother-in-law and sister-in-law lost their oldest son in 1995 in a car accident.  Please pray that Roger will be okay and they don't lose him as well.  Pray God will heal him 100%!~

Thanks so much!~

Stone Mountain, GA Trip

My baby girl came home today!  She has been in Greenville, S.C. visiting her best friend.  I met her best friend's mother on the other side of Atlanta (about halfway for both of us).  Hubby and son were with me.  We picked the girls up and headed to Stone Mountain Park in Georgia.  It is not even officially summer yet and it was as hot as Hades!  We only got out once because the heat was so unbearable.  The rest of the time we chose to view everything from the comfort of the truck with the AC wide open!  We didn't get to do everything, as time was of the essence because I had to be back home in time to work tonight.  We do plan to go back again, perhaps after the weather gets cooler in Autumn.

Coke anyone?  The Coca-Cola plant is in Atlanta.  Did you know that?  I have heard it is a very interesting place to tour.

Two very tired best friends.  It was a long day for them because they came in all the way from Greenville.

There is an etching in the side of Stone Mountain I wanted to get a picture of.  It depicts three Confederate heroes of the Civil War, President Jefferson Davis, General Robert E. Lee and General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson.  For more info, go here:

My son took pics also.  He is going to upload them and email them to me.  I will post some of those as soon as I get them.  His camera is much newer than mine, so I am sure his photos turned out much better.

PAIN, PAIN, AND MORE PAIN!~

Can you say A-G-O-N-Y? Can you say EXTREME ANGUISH?  PAIN?  EXCRUCIATING PAIN?  TORTURE? INTENSE SUFFERING?  MISERY THAT KNOWS NO END?

I don't know that I have ever suffered like I am suffering right now, or maybe I have and just forgotten who knows?

THE SITUATION:

I have an instability in my left shoulder.  I have already been through this with my right shoulder.  I had a right shoulder arthroscopy years ago for bursitis.  The pain didn't subside after the surgery.  I switched docs.  The new doc told me I had an instability in my right shoulder.  What it boils down to is loose ligaments.  He said when I would lay down to try to go to sleep, my shoulder was becoming partially dislocated.  Can you say OUCH!  He prescribed 6 weeks of physical therapy.  Told me if that didn't work, he would have to do surgery to repair it.  I was determined for it to work.  I had already been through shoulder surgery once and DID NOT want to go through that again.  It was horrificly painful.  Thank God, the PT worked! My right shoulder has been great ever since.

My left shoulder had started hurting similar to the pain I had experienced years ago in my right shoulder.  Of course, this happens after I lose my insurance in December.  Remember?  I had to leave my job because I could not work my schedule due to health issues.  My boss kept writing me up saying I never submitted her anything concerning my health issues (I did).  She just kept finding every little excuse to right me up.  I couldn't deal with that everyday and I quit.

Susan, my exboss, just found out her son who is probably like 3 years old may have Crohn's disease.  Please keep little Todd in your prayers.  Also, my nephew, Allen has cystic fibrosis.  He has since developed diabetes.  His parents came in from work today to find that their air conditioning had gone out and Allen was laying in the living room floor in a near diabetic coma.  Thank God they got home when they did and they were able to administer first aid to him as needed and get him turned back around.  Please pray for Allen.  He also has been making some very bad choices as of late that greatly concerns our family in regard to alcohol, drugs, etc.  Because of his already fragile state, these vices could be deadly for Allen.  Please, please pray for him.  He is so special to me and my family, especially my daughter, as they have always been close.

As for my situation, I was out walking my dog, Mary Jane, about a month ago on a retractable leash.  She suddenly darted to chase something when I didn't expect it.  Of course I had to have the leash in my left hand, which is rare because I am naturally right-handed.  When she reached the end of the leash, it jerked my shoulder.  I felt it tear then.  The pain has been gradually getting worse.  I am thinking it is probably a rotator cuff tear.  Rotator cuff tears are hard to fix.  Once they are torn, it is usually a chronic condition from that point on.  My Mom has had rotator cuff surgery twice and thinks she has torn it again.

I cannot get comfortable no matter what position I am in.  I have been in tears today off and on because it hurts so badly.  I called my doc and asked him to call my pain medication in.  He only called my thyroid medication in.  Another night without pain meds.  Oh joy!  Any volunteers out there to take me out in the pasture and shoot me like on old horse and put me outta my misery?  I really don't think I can bear another night of this intolerable pain and I have a high tolerance for pain!!!!!  I had both of my babies natural!  Anybody?

I can't even dress myself!  I feel like an invalid.  CJ, please come home.  I need you! (My baby girl is currently in S.C. visiting herBFF~).  Hubby and I are supposed to drive to the other side of Atlanta on Saturday to meet her BFF's Mom and pick her up.  We are bringing her BFF back with us this time.  She will visit for about a month.

Hey Doc! Please call in my Tramadol, for the love of God! ::sniff,sniff::
