Tornado, Birthday, and New Biz!~

We had bad storms come through last Friday, I think it was.  A tornado came within a half mile of my house!  My Mom called me and said she had just heard on the news that a possible tornado was sited at this old flour mill near us and we needed to vacate our mobile home.  I told her if it was there it was too late for us to vacate and I was not leaving my animals to fend for themselves nor did I want to get caught in a vehicle in a tornado.  We opted to stay and pray.  Turns out, it was a funnel cloud and it actually touched down several miles past us.  I didn't hear of any damage.  We went to check it out on Sunday and didn't see any.  Thank you, God, for watching over us.  That was scary.  We lost our home in 1995 to a tornado that went over during Hurricane Opal.  I didn't want to experience that again.

On a brighter note, yesterday was my cousin's daughter's birthday.  Wanna take a moment and wish Amy a Happy Birthday.  She turned Sweet 16.

Amy

My Carebear and Amy-My sis took these pics at our family place on the lake one Easter.  I believe they were about 6 maybe.  My Carebear turns Sweet 16 in May.

The current news in our household:

Donnie and I have been praying and praying for more income.  He got on the computer and was looking for online jobs from home since that is what I do.  Currently, I am a radiology medical transcriptionist.  I work for one of the corporate giants in the field of medical transcription and while I love my job, I am not making the money I want to be making and neither is Donnie being self-employed and running his own construction biz.  In all fairness to my company, I will say that I am still in training.  I will make a pretty decent living once I am fully trained, but I want more out of life and you should too.

Now, don't go online and do what I did.  Why?  Because there are a lot of scams out there.  Believe me, I did my homework before becoming involved with this company.  Let me do this for a little while, no need to ask me any questions, I won't answer them.  If I see it is indeed something that is lucrative for us, as my friends and family, I assure you that you will be the first to know.

In the meantime, pray for this endeavor that God will bless it.  My heart's desire is to be in the ministry fulltime.  This may be my means to get there.  I want to finish my book, as well as be able to help others, especially the mentally ill like my brother Scottie was.  Hopefully, your curiosity will get the better of you and you will stay tuned..................

Have a great weekend!~

Susan
