We are alive, praise God!~

Just stoppin' by to say I am alive, PRAISE GOD!  I think most of the really bad weather was to the north of us.  We did get some heavy rain, thunder, and lightening.  We have been in a drought, so the rain was much needed.  I ain't gonna complain!  We have been blessed with the calm after the storm today.  It is gorgeous, sunny, and breezy!~

I believe God has granted me this time of being unemployed so I can have time to myself for self-renewal.  That is what I want in 2008, a closer walk with God, to be more self-aware and be self-renewed in all aspects of my life, as a wife, mother, employee, daughter, sister, aunt, etc. I need to get back to the person God has called me to be.  Somehow, I have lost that along the way.

I love reading inspirational books.  From time to time, I come across some great quotes, which I post from time to time.  Today's quote is:

"When we truly care for ourselves, it becomes possible to care far more profoundly about other people.  The more alert and sensitive we are to our own needs, the more loving and generous we can be toward others.

~Eda LeShan

Have a blessed weekend!~

Just as the rain was a blessing hidden in the storm, I pray that God has many blessings hidden in this time of unemployment for you.  (((Susan))) -  Barbara

When I ended up unemployeed due to my deafness, it took awhile....but in all honesty, I so needed it to do just what you mentioned. Spending time to renew your spirit and acceptance of yourself is a blessing in disguise. You begin to look at the world differently. I believe it's made me more compassionate and understanding. Besides you can come here for us to help rejuvenate your self worth by talking to us when you get down.....(Hugs) Indigo
