Views of the kitchen!~

The following photos show different views of the kitchen:

I am standing near the recliner looking into the kitchen.  I made my curtains over the sink.

There are two fishbowls on the end of the kitchen counter.  My daughter has a male Beta who is supposed to be in her room, but her room is soooooooo much smaller here than it was back at the house, she really doesn't have room for Edward Scissorfins in her room.  Poor Edward, our cats watch him with great interest!

I am standing in front of the coffee table to get this shot of the kitchen.  There is a little pantry off the kitchen.  That is what you see through the doorway where my washer, dryer, and freezer are.

There is a shelf with our food on it too.  The pantry is one of my favorite features of this place.  I have two more copper molds that are to go on the wall over the fridge.  Currently, they are just lying on top of the fridge, but with the vaulted ceiling, (another feature I love), I cannot reach where I want them to go.  Hubby is supposed to bring his ladder and put the other two up for me, but he keeps forgetting it.  It is at the other place.  We haven't even begun to get to the garage!~  ::big sigh::

These photos are taken with a new digital camera my daughter got for Christmas.  To me, it makes everything look cluttered.  It really isn't.  Perhaps, tomorrow when it is daylight again I shall try to take some with my camera.  The little door that holds the batteries in broke off of my camera when it was accidentally dropped and I have to put rubber bands around it to hold them in.  I have checked into it and it will cost me about $75.00 to have it fixed.

Looking down the hall is our back door and our bedroom and bathroom is just off the kitchen down this little hall.  Past the living room in the other direction is my office, my daughter's bathroom and her bedroom.  I am glad her rooms are on the other end.  If she ever cleans them up again, I will post pics of them.  You know how teens can be, lol.  I may try tomorrow to get better pics with my camera as I really don't really like how these have turned out.

I will repost as we get pictures hung, etc.  At least I have kept my promise to show pics though.  :-)  My colors are mostly cranberry, hunter green, and navy, which are some of my favorite colors to decorate with!  The living room has a lot of Americana.  I prefer country style, so if you are not into country, you may not like my decorating style, but that is okay, different strokes for different folks.  It would be a very boring world if we all looked exactly the same and decorated our homes all exactly the same, would it not?

Have a blessed week!~

P.S.  The last 3-4 entries all have pics of our new place.  I have received several requests for them so if you missed any scroll back and leave me a comment.  I live for my comments.  ;-)

Your new home looks beautiful and cozy.  I wish I had a nack for decorating!  Wouldn't do me any good however.  The kids would trash everything.

I love looking at other's homes because I can always get great ideas to use in my own home!   I could look at your pics all day long and find something new in each time I looked!  Love them!  Thanks for sharing :)

Really lovely, Susan, so homey and warm looking. Makes me want to come visit. Sure wish I could. Praying for your son. Hoping everything goes okay. We're still waiting on our grandson's situation to get squared away too. so stressful, especially for his parents. Hugs, and much love.

I love the pictures of your home. It looks warm and inviting as a home should. One of these days I'll share pictures of my own, if I ever find the time to get ahead and have it all cleaned at the same time (rolls eyes). It's not that It's not per se "clean" rather that I have multiple animals around and they keep me busy enough. Thank you for inviting us in and sharing a rare view into your life. (Hugs) Indigo

I'm not sure about your Americana look.  I'm quite a decorating snob, if you will.

LOL, just kidding.  My husband says that our house has an "early garage sale" look.  I think he's hit it on the head.  I'm glad I saw your link over at Amy's place.

The kitchen looks great Susan!!  Very roomy!!!  We had a beta too and it finally died.  Oliver, rest in peace.  LOL.  I like that you are home more now as I have missed your entries and journaling more often.  Okay, I'm going to take a peek at the next entry and see what else I have missed over the past few days.  We had such a busy weekend.  Hugs,
Lisa
