Interior Pics-Office

I am so happy to finally have my office done!  Woo Hoo!

The bookcase you see in the photo is the one that fell over on me when we were moving in.  I had some nasty bruises for a bit.  They have finally faded away for the most part.  I had just turned my back to it when it fell over on me.  Thankfully, Hubby secured it to the wall so that shouldn't happen again and also it wasn't THAT full when it fell over, but it still hurt.  :-(

It is really hard to get a pic of all of it at once so I had to get pics of different angles and AOL is not cooperating either.  It won't let me add more than one pic at a time.  Man, that is aggravating!  I have another wall with a beautiful antique secretary, but it uploaded it sideways and I need to adjust it, but for some reason this new camera software ain't cooperating.  ::sigh::  Guess I had better break out the manual and actually READ it, lol.  Anyway, this is what you get for now.  It is a very small bedroom and makes for quite a nice office.  When I figure out how to fix the other two pics, I will post them as well, but for now, this is what you get.  :-)  Nevermind, I just retook the pics, so here they are:

When I swing around to the left in my desk chair, my daughter's new keyboard she got for Christmas is on that wall.  I play and intend to teach her how to play.  I should have remembered to move Hubby's coat out of the way.  Men can't never hang anything up.  ::sigh::  Oh wait, I am the one who put it there.  Hee.......

When I turn around behind me, my Dad's antique secretary that I inherited upon his death is on that wall along with my file cabinet.

Have you ever seen a big dog who thinks she is a lap dog?

Here is Mary Jane in Hubby's lap.  She has to be with me and if I am not available, she will settle for him.  We found out a few weeks back that she has glaucoma in her right eye, poor baby.

When Hubby is in his recliner, his finger is NEVER off that remote.  Drives me nuts how he is always flippin' channels.  Is that a man thang or what?  ::giggle::  Most women I know can sit and watch whole shows without ever touching the dang remote.  Guess it is a good thing we have a TV in each bedroom.  It keeps our marriage together that way.  ::snort::

Simba decided he liked the looks of a basket I had planned to take to storage.  Now I keep it around just for him cuz he thinks it is his bed, lol.  I had laid some items in a rocker to put away and he decided the basket looked like a good place to nap.  Silly kitty.

Blessings!~

I love your office! seems like a great place to spend the day working. Mary Jane looks so content in your hubby's lap. my husband is the same way with the remote; I tell you it makes me dizzy sometimes how he flips through the channels and follows two or three shows at the same time. that's why I'm on the computer so much, LOL!

The office looks great.  That dog is funny!  Yes I think the remote is a "man thing".  My ex always had control of the remote and would watch what I called the "argument channels" where the people discussed politics etc...  I have an aversion to certain programs now because of that!

I love the inside...the way you decorated is lovely.  Wow....that was one heavy bookcase to fall on you!!!  The kitty in the basket is adorable...and hubby looks so relaxed with Mary Jane...she is adorable, as always.  Now lets get some photos of you and your beautiful daughter and son.  Hugs and love,
Joyce

Love what you did here. I wouldn't mind coming to work if I had this nice of an office. Seeing yours has motivated to fix mine up. Great job. Love the pic of hubby. I've yet to see a man without a remote in his hand. LOL
Love yu.

Gordo does the same thing.  I've learned how to breathe with 100 lbs of weight on me.  LOL

Bella has a favorite basket she sleeps in, too...

Both your hubby and Mary Jane are so cute!   The dog almost looks as big as ur hubby lol.  Our Max thinks he's a lap dog too and with his long lanky legs that's makes it a bit uncomfortable for us!  Loved the pics of your new house!  Thanks for sharing

Mary Jane is a beauty! Love the office. I would give anything to have a room to put the computer in and shut the world out for a bit. Namely the man of the house (Yeah, we are squabbling) I tend to be organized and he's not.....

Glad your recovering from the bookshelf falling on you hon. Looks pretty heavy. You did a wonderful job setting up your office. And yes, it is a man thing to be controlling with the remote. (Hugs) Indigo
