I am selling my baby!~ ::sadface::

I have to sell my baby.

I have had to leave my home that I raised my children in back in November.

Now I am having to sell my vehicle, which I dearly love.  My beloved FIL who passed away in October of 2006, my husband, and his brothers built the A-frame.  It meant a lot to me, to us.  My son decided to sell it.  He and his wife bought it after we moved to Colorado.  We had rented it from my FIL.  Since she left him, we moved back to Alabama to help him pick up the pieces.  It was hard for him to live in it because it held so many memories of her.

Since I lost my job (I felt they left me no choice but to quit), I can no longer afford the $422.00 a month payments on my truck.  I am heartbroken, but my niece and her husband are going to try to buy it.  It has been a rough year for them as well.  They need a vehicle, so should they be able to get the financing, it will be theirs.  The good news is I still own my 1997 Buick LaSabre.

It was a very nice car until my son wrecked it.

To be able to drive it, I have to replace the windshield, as it got broke in the accident (which my son has agreed to do), get the side mirror put back on, and get the front head light fixed, buy a tag, and get the insurance on it.  It is driveable as is, but I don't want a ticket and they will surely cite me if I am caught driving it with any of these violations, so it will probably be a couple of weeks or so before I can have it back on the road.  That really sucks.  ::big sigh:: So for now, I have no way to go until Hubby gets home from work each day.  Bummer!~

On a lighter note, the company I applied for called me back and left a message with my son for me to call them.  That is really good news!  I praise God for that!  I will still be doing medical transcription from home and I will have benefits again.  Woo Hoo!~

I will miss my truck, but in reality, it was too powerful and too big for me.  I had a hard time parking it.  I wouldn't mind getting a newer Buick LaSabre.  They really are very nice cars and so much easier for me to handle.  In spite of everything, I am in good spirits.  I love our new place.  I almost have everything in place.  Selling the truck takes that $400 a month off of us, which is a blessing in itself.  My LaSabre is paid for.  We will wait until we are better on our feet before we try to buy another vehicle.

Have a blessed week!~

I am so glad you will be going back to work for the other doctors!!  That will be so nice for you to work at home again.  I'm sure you will be able to get that beautiful car fixed up nice.  I know you will miss that beauty of a truck though but not those payments.  I am counting down the years on our vehicle payments.  Life would be grand without those.  Sigh.  Hugs,
Lisa

That really is a pretty truck, but at least it looks like you will still be able to have visitation with it.

Susan
Sad news about your having to sell the truck, but congratulations on the new job prospect.  I think you are wise to get out from under the payments on the truck.  There will be opportunities in the future to upgrade your transpotation and at that time you may find something with much higher gas mileage.

Sounds like you have had a bit of bad luck lately so here's wishing you better days. Your car will look nice when you get all those things done and good no payments. Take care, Paula

Awww it looks just like my truck.  Same color too. Mine is a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn edition.

It's hard to swallow, but they are only material things. You have the love of your family, which is far more important.

Sorry you have had to make these decisions but they sound like wise ones.  Good luck getting the car fixed. Hopefully that won't be too costly to get that done.
