Exterior Pics

Finally I have some exterior pics of the modular home we are now living in.  I guess we have come full circle, as we started out in a single-wide trailer when we got married going on 30 years ago.  We traded it on a double-wide trailer about four years later.  Hurricane Opal took it out in 1995.  My in-laws were building a new house so we lived in the good half of our double wide until their house was finished.  We just prayed it didn't rain.  We could see the stars through the ceiling at night.  At least our woodburning heater still worked since we lived like this for two months.  We all slept in the living room.  My children were small enough, one slept at one end of the sofa and the other one at the other end.  Hubby and I slept on a mattress on the floor for those couple of months.  Finally, a few days before Christmas, we moved into the A-frame in 1995 where we remained until we moved to Colorado in November of 2001.  We lived with my BIL and his wife who were empty nesters until April of 2002.  I found us a beautiful townhome in Palmer Lake the next town over.  We lived there until July of 2003 when we relocated yet again to Broomfield, CO, where we had a four bedroom, 2.5 bath house with a basement.  We were in a rent-to-own contract there.  We gave it up in March of 2005 to come back to Alabama to help our son get through a divorce that very nearly destroyed him.  It was one of those cases where she wanted it, but he didn't.  We moved back into the A-frame that he had since bought from my FIL (we rented it from my FIL).  We remained there until our son sold the house in November and I quickly had to find another place for my hubby, daughter and I to live.  I wanted to stay close to my son, so I investigated this very nice mobile home park just down the road from where the A-frame was.  We started moving out the last few days of November and here it is almost two months later, and we still haven't finished!  I am down to mostly books and videos in the house, but God help us, we haven't even touched the garage!  ::big sigh::  Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics.  It is kind of late in the day, so I don't know how clear they are going to be.  We shall find out together!~

May I say, I am quite happy here.  The park is very nice as you will see in the pics.  It has a pool, gazebo, springs with bridges, cattails, and it is very quiet.  There are NO stairs and NO flooding basement to contend with and we have central heat and air again.  Woo Hoo!  We haven't had that since 1995 when we lost our double-wide.  I love the openness out our back door as you will see in the pics.

This is the view out my back door.

This is the tennis court and volley ball court just to the right of that wonderful view out the back door.  It was really beautiful in the Fall.  Too bad I didn't get the pics then.  ::sigh::

I am standing down at the tennis court looking at the backside of our modular home.  It is a 2005, so it is quite nice.  We have two full bathrooms, so we have one and our daughter has one and we have three bedrooms.  The smallest one I use as my office.  It is soooooooooooo nice having an office again!~

There is a nice path through the woods that leads to.......

...a quaint little bridge.

The first time I happened upon the bridge and  the little brook running underneath, we were in such a drought, it was almost dry and it certainly wasn't babbling, but today it was babbling happily as it should be.  It sounded so peaceful, I didn't want to leave.

Can you hear it gurgling?

All that said...................hope you enjoyed pics of the outside! I still need to go get some pics of the gazebo and pool.  Maybe I can soon!~

Blessings!~

I love the babbling brook, the bridge, the little path, the wide open spaces and the trees all around you.  Who knows what God has in store for you now?  Sounds like He is making things easier for you again.  A/C and central heat and all on one floor .... and your own office again.  Yay!!  This sounds so nice!!!  Many hugs,
Lisa

Susan
I enjoyed the little tour of your current abode and surroundings.  Yes, the park looks nice and I love the huge open area behind the house.  The trail through the woods and the little brook make it just perfect.  Thanks for this little peek into your world.

Seems like a nice place!  And what I've found is all that really matters is that you can be warm, dry, cool, and comfortable in your home.  Everything else is just fluff.  -  Barbara
