House Renovations

I'm soooooooooo happy.......the bathroom has been fixed and painted, and has a new light fixture.  The wallboard had rotted out around the shower and had begun even rotting the floor.  We now have a new ceramic tiled shower and floor.  It looks awesome! My dishwasher has been put in and my kitchen has a new fluorescent light fixture that really brightens the kitchen up at night, and one was also put in the laundry room.  The tile that was messed up in the kitchen near the sink has been fixed.  The siding has been put on the house and the deck has been rescreened.  Now my cats can go out and enjoy it without me worrying about them escaping and I can enjoy it without mosquitos eating me up alive.  The deck is my favorite part about this whole house.  I spend lots of time out there meditating, reading, or playing with my cats.  It is super nice out there this time of year.  Now, if we could just get some rain to fill the catfish pond back up behind the house.  It is probably down at least three feet.  I will post pics ASAP.  Hope everyone had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!~

The bad news is it is my son's house and he is selling it.  It has been our home since he was 13, except for the 3.5 years we lived in Colorado.  They close on the sale on the 27th of November.  We have to move.  He will give us part of the money from the sale of the house which will help us financially, but learning you have to move right here at Christmas really sucks.

I won't miss the stairs.  I will miss the deck.  I spend a lot of time out there.  They just got it screened in again to where my cats can enjoy it again.  I love how it overlooks the catfish pond.

I will post pics of the renovations ASAP.  I pray we can find a nice reasonable place to rent.  We don't want to buy because we are not sure we are staying in Alabama permanently.  We wish to return to Colorado...............

Sorry to hear you have to move this close to Christmas. I'm a firm believer home is wherever the heart is. No matter where you are these holidays, as long as you are loved , you will truly be blessed. (Hugs) Indigo

I am so sorry to hear that you have to move during the Holiday Season.  I'll be praying you get just the right place offered up in time to settle in for Christmas.  Good luck with it all.

Wow it sounds like you will eventually get to move back to Colorado!!!  I know you miss it so much.  We moved last year at Christmas time too and it was soooooooooo hard!!!!  But it was worth it and congrats on the sale of the house.  That is a blessing!!!  Just keep everything simple for the holidays and it will be a snap.  That's what we did.  I didn' t send one card or gift but I just did shopping for the immediate family and that worked out best.  Everything else was moving and packing.  Hugs,
Lisa
