Catchin' Up!~

 

Dear Journal,

Sorry I have been neglecting you.  I am one of the many who is now caught up in the Myspace craze.  I have been blogging there instead of here writing my stories, raising cane, and so on and so forth.

I fell down the stairs last week.  It left me kind of sore and bummed up.  I especially hurt my great toe on my right foot, and the front of my leg from my knee, down to the ankle, and across the top of my foot.  I am still bruised from that.  Carebear had thrown her silky comforter down the stairs to be washed.  I went down the stairs in the dark using the phone.  I stepped on the comforter and when I did, my big toe bent under, the lower portion of my right leg also bent under, my left leg was out straight and I slid down the stairs.  My leg that was injured was like getting a major carpet burn except now it is bruised and my toe too.  The moral of the story is:  Never go down the stairs in the dark talking on the phone!~

Not much else to tell.  I want to thank everyone for their well wishes for our anniversary.  We went out to eat at Logan's.  It was very good.

My BIL had a stroke and was admitted to the hospital.  He is a smoker and has already had several.  Please keep him in your prayers.

My husband had an accident with a table saw where the piece of wood he was working with flew up and hit him in his arm and it messed his neck and shoulder up pretty badly.  He is going to the chiropractor for that.  His Silverado tore up and we had to put it in the shop.  No telling how much that is gonna cost. ::sigh::

I lost two friends last week to lung cancer (both were smokers).  Faye was my best friends Mom in high school.  She was only 64.  It was a HUGE loss for her family and everybody that knew her.  Bennie was 49.  His wife and his sister-in-law are good friends.  His niece is my daughter's best friend.  Please keep these families in your prayers and, as always, remember our troops in your prayers!~
