Dear Journal,
I just got back from the vet. According to her doc she is not going to get any better. She believes she has cardiomyopathy. The fluid will continue to build up in her lungs. I have to make the painful decision whether to euthanize or medicate. Even with medication, she will only live 3-6 more months. I am beside myself with grief. She is only 7. This shouldn't be happening. Don't feel like writing any more right now. Maybe later.

Oh, Susan....I am so sorry! :-( What about the other kitties?! Do they have the same thing?! That would be so awful......

Oh Susan, I am so upset to read this. At least it means your other two cats are not affected. Sweetie, only you can make that decision and it is heartbreaking. Remember to do what is best for her. If the medication gives her a good last few months that would not be so bad, but will it? I do know how you feel, you know that, we have lost three beloved animals in three years. God bless dear friend, I know you will make the right decision whatever you choose.
