Dear Journal,
My MIL was admitted to the hospital yesterday. She needs lots of prayers and/or good thoughts. They are running tests to find out what is wrong. She was throwing up and had fever and chills. She was being treated for a bladder infection, but was not any better after finishing up that antibiotic.
I have been married to my husband over half of my life, as we will be celebrating our 29th anniversary on October 7th. His Mom and I are very close. She is like a second mother to me and I would do anything under the sun that was within my power to do for her. She asked for me to tend to her so come hell or high water, I will be there for her as God sees fit to let me be. She is a wonderful Christian lady and I have learned a lot from her over the years. I am very blessed to have had the in-laws that I have had. Lots of people cannot say that, sadly.

((Susan)) I'm so sorry about your MIL and will pray that she is better soon. I'm one of those that sadly my MIL worked against me the whole 23 years I was with her son, but I hear that she really likes his new girlfriend so maybe he finally found someone she approved of. My mother absolutely loved my husband which is why I'm glad that she has already passed and didn't have to be around to see this marriage fail. I'm glad to know that there are very nice MIL out there. I hope to be one of them someday.

Susan, I sure hope your MIL is better soon. I imagine the docs will make her well and find out what is going on. It is wonderful to have a good relationship with your MIL. I have a good one with mine. She has been good to me thru the years.

It's nice that you get on so well with your mother-in-law. However, I can't help feeling that perhaps you are missing out on a wealth of mother-in-law jokes!
