Bargain Find!~

Dear Journal,

My daughter and I were supposed to go to the Cotton Pickin Fair with family visiting from Colorado and some of our family here, but I figured it would be rough on my feet because they always make it an all day thing.  I can't stay on my feet very long without severe pain because of the faciitis and heel spurs in both.  For more info on the Cotton Pickin' Fair go to this link:

My daughter and I opted instead to go thrift store shopping so I could come home when I got ready.  We went to a local thrift store where I happened upon a dinette set I liked and I liked the price even more.  She was only asking $130.00 for the table and four chairs.  I snapped that up!  We had to leave most of our big furniture in Colorado when we moved back to my home state of Alabama two years ago.  While I did get to bring back my antique dining table, the chairs had to stay.  That didn't bother me too bad because they actually went with another set, not the table.  I am not quite sure what I am going to do with the table now, but if my son wants it, he can have it.  I know he doesn't have a dining room table.

Anyway, I am quite happy to have a dinette set where the chairs actually match the table.  I saw some other finds as well that I hope to go back and get before somebody else spies them.  I hope to get to go back this weekend.

Hope all of you have had a great week.  I am ready for the weekend myself!!~

Later,

Susan

Good grief, woman...I'd have given you my table and chairs that are almost like that.  (It's a bit bigger - rounded corners and has a bench as well as the 4 chairs)

I'm wantin' something darker.  (to fit my moods better, huh?!  Heh...)

Hey, have you checked out those Crocs shoes?  I hear they work wonders for people with foot problems....

Well, you had to make due with an alternative plan, and it looks like you did well. Love the new table setup.

Looks as if you got a good buy. I love thrift store shopping. Also hit the Salvation Army stores. I feel really good when I buy from them because the money goes for a good cause.

Love the table and chairs. I wish I could find something like that around here for my daughter. She is still looking for something to use in her apartment.
