I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6).
I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11:25-26).
Dear Journal,
Yesterday was Easter. It was a most unusual Easter, to say the least, for my family. My daughter has been pretty sick with an upper respiratory infection, so we stayed home. I made chicken and dressing, macaroni and cheese, greenbean casserole, potato salad, and blackberry muffins. We usually go to my Mom's for dinner and then to my MIL's for the egg hunt and more food. I have great nieces and nephews there still small enough to want to hunt eggs. With my children being 24 and 14, they don't hunt them anymore. I miss those days; however, my daughter did want to still color them.
My niece and her boyfriend, my son and his roommate, and my Hubby, daughter, and my daughter's exboyfriend and me had dinner here at my house. They seemed to enjoy themselves. I hope so.
My daughter broke up with her boyfriend, but they are still friends. She felt sorry for him because he was going to be alone on Easter and wanted to invite him here. I think he is still hoping it will work out between them. I am staying out of it. I have grown attached to him, but it is a long story and I don't want to publicize it in an online journal out of respect for him. I just pray for him.
Anyway, sorry I have been neglecting you, journal. The days seem to go by so fast anymore. I am still sick about losing my pictures. I have searched this computer over with the hope that they really are not gone, but to no avail. ::big sigh:: I hope for some pretty days soon to go out and take them again. It has been pretty cold here as of late. We had May weather in March and now in April, we are having February weather. Go figure. Only in the south. ;-)
Easter snuck up on us so fast, I didn't even get my Easter decorations put out this year. ::sigh::
Hope all my friends had a happy Easter with their loved ones.
Time for bed. I am not feeling well and need to rest.
Later.
