Snagged questionaire from Jackie's Journal!~

Thanks, Amy Lou, for taggin' this fer me!~You know how I LOVE Maxine.  She makes me laugh like you do with your wit!  Hee............

I didn't have an entry for this journal, so I snagged a questionaire from Jackie's journal, Hope Floats.

1.  Do you say hi to people you don't know?

Almost always.

2. What is the name of the last person you kissed?

Donnie, my hubby, this morning when he was leaving for work.

3.  Do you still talk to this person?

Of course, I'm married to him, silly.

4.  Recite a line from a movie.

"Go ahead, make my day!"

5.  What movie was that from?

Clint Eastwood played Dirty Harry in Sudden Impact, 1983, I believe it was.

6.  Do you play by the rules?

How can I teach my kids honesty, if I don't play by the rules?  I would have to say yes to that, at least 99.9% of the time. :-)

7.  What are you doing this weekend?

The weekend is usually my catch-up time on housework I did not get to during the work week.

8.  Do you complain a lot?

I try not to, but probably so.

9.  Have you ever been to Canada?

No, but my Hubby has and he says it is breathtakingly beautiful.

10.  Do you have a good personality?

I hope so!!!!!  I am not good at tooting my own horn.

11.  What size would you say your nose is?

Too long.  ::sigh::  The better to smell you with, my dear.  Hee...........

12.  What is someone's name that begins with the letter A?

My great niece, Alexandra.

13.  Name someone's plastic surgery who turned out poorly.

Do you really have to ask?  Michael Jackson.  It is really a shame he was made to feel so insecure about himself, because he was a fine looking young man to begin with.  Now he looks like a freak.  Sad how we let people do that to us.

14.  Have you ever performed CPR on someone?

The only CPR I have ever performed was on the dummy in CPR class at the hospital, but my boss saved a man's life one night at a restaurant one night when he choked on his food!!!!  Everybody should learn CPR!!!!!  Never know when you might need it.

15.  Name something that falls from the sky.

In Alabama, the rain.  I love the smell just before it rains.  I love hearing it hit the skylights in my house.  It is comforting, like a cat purring.

In Colorado, it would have to be the snow.  It makes everything look so magical, like a winter wonderland.

16.  Are you polite?

I try to always be, but unfortunately, don't always succeed.

::sigh::

17. Name a TV show or movie that impacted society.

I would like to think the movie, "A Beautiful Mind," with Russell Crowe helped to bring about an awareness to the plights of the mentally ill.

18.  Name a song that has the word baby in it.

Don't Pull Your Love~Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds

First line starts out, "Don't pull your love out on me, baby"...........how's that?

19.  Name your favorite Disney Movie.

I have to go with Jackie on this one too.  I love Bambi.  Bambi, Thumper, and Flower are all just too cute.  My favorite line is when Thumper's mother says, "Thumper!  What did your Father tell you this morning?"  And Thumper sheepishly replies,"If ya can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all."  Good advice for all of us!!!!!

20.  Have you ever been scuba diving?

Nope, but I know someone who has, does that count?  I don't like being under water at all.  It gives me the heebie jeebies, it's a childhood thing.

21.  Name a profession you would not like to have.

I'm with Jackie on this one too.  Electrocutioner, I would not like to be the person who pulls the switch when someone has been condemned to die.

22.  Name someone you know with red hair.

My niece, Kathy.

23.  Name a popular dee jay.

Well, in these parts, it would have to be Bear o'Brien.

24.  Name something white.

My wedding gown was white before someone stole it from our house.  ::sigh::  Don't get me on my soapbox!!!! Since it is gone, I guess I should pick something else, eh?  How 'bout me?  Hee...........

25.  Are you better at explaining things or performing them?

Ummm.......I will go with performing them. My brain seems to get all jumbled up anymore when I try to explain something.  ::sigh::  Guess that is the hypothyroidism I have been diagnosed with, but at least my prognosis is good!!!!~

26.  Have you ever been to a boxing match?

Wrestling, yes.  Boxing, no.

27.  Did you ever stutter or have a hard time pronouncing?

Never been a stutterer and never had a hard time pronouncing either until I hit my 40's!!!!!

28.  Do you eat out or buy groceries more often?

Buy groceries.  Who can afford to eat out all the time?  Certainly not anyone with kids like me!!!!!!  We live paycheck to paycheck, don't you?

29.  What month are many of your friends born in?

No certain month, they are all scattered out.

30.  If you could have been born a different ethnicity, which one would you have chosen?

I have no clue right off the top of my head, but my maternal great-grandma was Cherokee, so I would have to go with that.  I loved her dark complexion whereas I have my redheaded dad's fair skin and burn and peel.  Ugh.  My sis takes after my Mom's side and tans easily like my Mom.

31.  Name another way to say perfect.

Rocky Mountains~where I wish I was right now.

32.  Name something you think is disgusting.

Law enforcement officials who are sworn to protect us, but let greed turn them into the same kind of people they are trying to put behind bars (I certainly do not think all are like that, as I have some great friends in law enforcement, but there are too many these days who have turned into criminals themselves to get a piece of the "meth pie," which is why it cannot be eradicated in certain areas).

33.  What is your favorite type of soup?

Oh that is easy!  Cheeseburger Soup!!!!!  It's delish!

34.  Name something that rhymes with the word, "sunny."

How 'bout money, something I need lots more of!!!!!!  Anybody got any extra they want to "share?"

35.  Name a fattening food.

Ummmm.........taters?  They must be, doc took them off my diet.  ::sigh::

36.  Name something you are just not good at.

Any kind of paperwork, like keeping a checkbook balanced or filing taxes.  Despise is not a strong enough word for how much I hate paperwork.

37.  How many glasses of water a day do you drink on average?

2-3 usually.  I love green tea.  My Mom got me hooked on it.  Being southern, I also love sweet iced tea, but then you didn't ask me that, did you?

38.  How do you usually say goodbye to people?

With a hug to those who are close to me, to hubby, with a kiss and/or hug.

39.  Does your license plate say anything on it?

Nope, just the usual.

40.Name a type of dance.

The Twist.  Sorry, best I could come up with on such short notice.  Guess I am telling my age, eh?

41.  Name a type of Martini.

Can't.  Don't have the foggiest.  Do not drink alcohol.  It ruined many lives of my loved ones.  I choose to stay away from it.

42.  Would you rather do dishes or laundry?

Laundry.

43.  Did you have braces?

Nope, but my sis did, and both of my kids need them.

44.  Name someone you are really good friends with.

Outside of J-Land, it would be Toni Lou or Kimmie.

45. Name something purple.

My daughter's hair.

46.  Name something good about getting older.

I think as you get older, you gain more wisdom and insight that can be beneficial to those who are younger.

47.  And something negative?

I am falling apart!!!!! I got tendonitis in my right wrist, left shoulder, and plantar faciitis in both feet as well as heel spurs in both feet, and hypothyroidism!!!!!!!!!!!  Growing old really sucks.

48.  Name a song you really enjoy.

Oh gosh, there are so many.  I love music.  I love the 70's music, gospel music, country music.  I cannot think of any one song.  Okay, it is an older song, but how about

I Love The Way You Love Me, by John Michael Montgomery.

49.  Name someone with the same middle name as you.

Lots of folks in my husband's family have the same middle name as me (Marie).  Two of my sister-in-laws, one of my nieces, one of my great nieces.

Blessings!~

Susan
