We had thunderstorms go through yesterday.  Thankfully, they didn't get bad like a few weeks ago when we had a tornado very close to our place.  There is another chance for more t-storms this weekend.

What is up with not being able to add more than one pic to my entries?  I can only add them one at a time down here in the actual entry.  When I click on Add Album it says AOL does not support that browser and to go to AOL keyword Browser and upgrade and when I do that, it says I already have the most current browser.  What the heck, AOL?  I have talked to tech support about it to no avail.  They promised me they would fix it several months ago, I am still waiting.  For this reason, I spend most of my time online on my MySpace instead of my AOL journals.  Here is the link, if you have one, go request me as a friend!~

http://www.myspace.com/95296840

I am amazed at how many of my friends have a MySpace.  It is really cool being able to keep up with them.

I put the link to photomax in my sidebar under favorite places (the link is under Gimme Max).  If you need a place to store your photos, email me for my email (I don't use my AOL email, I use my business email).  I really love that all of my digital photos are now secure and in no danger of being lost like some of my others should my computer crash again.  I have them all arranged neatly in photo albums.  I get to choose which pic in my album I want for the cover of the album.  Now I am going through deleting duplicate photos, putting titles under the pics, and there is even a place to put further description of the pic if I need it.  If a pic needs editing, I just click on the pic and the editing software comes up.  It has been time consuming to transfer them because I had so many (probably between 7000-10,000, but at least my pics are safe now!  I am still heartbroken over some of the ones we lost when the computer crashed.  ::sniff::  I have been wanting to get this done for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time.  Yea me!

I didn't think anyone liked me anymore.  I got no alerts when I did my last two entries.  I just happened to check because I had a feeling it was an AOL glitch, and sure enough there were comments!  Thank you so much.  I live for my comments!~

It seems like I had more to say, but my mind has gone totally blank.  ::sigh::  Guess if I remember, I will just come back and do another entry. :-)

Have a blessed week!~

The Perfect Maxine for me!~

My friend, KC, sent me a bunch of Maxine's through email today.  While I was reading them, I came across this one and I started laughing hysterically.  Of course, my daughter wanted to know why I was laughing so hard.  I told her KC had sent me a Maxine cartoon that fit me sooooo perfectly.  I read it to her, she said, "Oh my gosh, this is so you!"  LMBO.

**********************************************************

I see I must come back and clarify after reading some of my comments.  I am not talking about prerinsing, I am talking wash the dishes and rinse them BEFORE  I load them.  They are already clean when I turn the dishwasher on, lol.  And yes......I run them through the whole cycle.  And yes......I know its a strange thing to do.  My Hubby and kids tease me about having some form of OCD because I am such a neat freak.  I do not have OCD, I am just eccentric.  What's wrong with that?  If we were all just alike, what a boring world it would be.  :-0

Have a blessed day!~

Internet Problems and Prayer Requests!~

I have been having internet problems, which is why I haven't posted for a while.  If I missed anybody who emailed or left a link wanting to check out the photo software I talked about in my last entry, please resend your request.  I promise you were not overlooked on purpose!~

I am happy.  I am off today and tomorrow so I get to play around in I LOVE MY MAX and put more of my pics in albums.  I got the majority of them transferred over the weekend finally, now I just have to get them in albums and get my albums edited by getting the titles under my pics and a description of the pic, etc.  If you requested the link, don't forget to click on the picture itself, after you get them transferred and it will bring up the editing software.  Took me forever to figure that out, lol.  Guess I am not the brightest crayon in the box, eh?  ::wink::

A close friend from high school (Phillip) was recently diagnosed with colon cancer.  I would so appreciate prayers and good thoughts for him.

A neighbor just lost her husband.  They have a young teenage son.  Please remember Lisa and Josh in your prayers and good thoughts as they cope with their loss.  Randy was only 42.

Another high school friend was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Her name is Jan.  Would appreciate prayers/good thoughts for her.

I also have a close friend, Lori, who was diagnosed with melanoma, which is a form of cancer.  Pray for Lori and/or hold good thoughts for her.

My nephew, Tim, is going through a divorce.  His wife decided she doesn't want him anymore.  He and his family are now going through what my family and I went through several years back when my DIL decided she no longer wanted to be married to my son.  Please remember Tim.

I also have online friends who have needs.  God knows who they are. We serve a God who can meet all of these needs.

Heavenly Father,

I ask you to bless each one of my friends today who have a need.  I pray for those needs to be met as only you can do.  In your Holy name I pray.  Amen.

And may I leave you with these words today:

“For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ which exhales unto God…” (Psalm 42:1).

Blessings!~

New Home Business!~

I finally caught up with my niece and got her to cut my hair.  I love it, it looks soooo much better.  Will post a pic soon.

I started a new online business.  I could sure use your help.  If any of you love digital photography like I do, you can go to this website, join up (you have to know someone and that someone is me)  you would log in.  It will ask you for my email (I use my email through my cable company so my AOL email won't work as it won't recognize it).  You can transfer your photos from your computer to this website.  It allows you to put your photos in albums, you can edit the photos, add borders, add text, plus there is a really cool shop that you can order many products that have photos of whomever you choose that would make great presents for Christmas, birthday, anniversary, graduation, new baby, and so much more!  The service is free.  It is very similar to my Kodak EasyShare and Photobucket, but the company does sell other products other than photo supplies.  They also sell skin care and pharmaceuticals.  They started out in skin care, lol.  I will have something to post soon to show one of their biggest sellers.  I will make a commision off of anything that you might buy through them.  If you don't buy, that is cool too, if you just choose to use the free service at least you won't have to go through what I went through and lose your photos when your computer crashes.  It is heartbreaking to even think about.  ::sniff::  Did I mention you get 20 FREE 4 x 6 photos just for trying this free service!  That is the best part! If you are interested, please email me at my aol email or leave me a comment and I will send you the pertinent info.  I have photobucket, but I really like this much better.  Come on!  What is it gonna hurt to take a look around?  I have been wanting to do this forever.  So far, I have 1200 plus photos out of 7000 transferred.  They are all set up in neat albums according to subject.  I get to choose the photo I want as the album cover.  I have also eliminated the duplicate photos (of which I had many),and if a pic needs editing, you clickon the picture and the software will come up so you can edit, add borders, add text, etc.  Some of my pics are also pertinent to some other albums, so Ican copy these photos and put in the other albums and the best part is you can share them through email with your friends and family!  It is waaaay cool.  I'll be waiting to hear from ya, but if I don't, you are still my friend.  ::wink::

Have a blessed week!~

Tornado, Birthday, and New Biz!~

We had bad storms come through last Friday, I think it was.  A tornado came within a half mile of my house!  My Mom called me and said she had just heard on the news that a possible tornado was sited at this old flour mill near us and we needed to vacate our mobile home.  I told her if it was there it was too late for us to vacate and I was not leaving my animals to fend for themselves nor did I want to get caught in a vehicle in a tornado.  We opted to stay and pray.  Turns out, it was a funnel cloud and it actually touched down several miles past us.  I didn't hear of any damage.  We went to check it out on Sunday and didn't see any.  Thank you, God, for watching over us.  That was scary.  We lost our home in 1995 to a tornado that went over during Hurricane Opal.  I didn't want to experience that again.

On a brighter note, yesterday was my cousin's daughter's birthday.  Wanna take a moment and wish Amy a Happy Birthday.  She turned Sweet 16.

Amy

My Carebear and Amy-My sis took these pics at our family place on the lake one Easter.  I believe they were about 6 maybe.  My Carebear turns Sweet 16 in May.

The current news in our household:

Donnie and I have been praying and praying for more income.  He got on the computer and was looking for online jobs from home since that is what I do.  Currently, I am a radiology medical transcriptionist.  I work for one of the corporate giants in the field of medical transcription and while I love my job, I am not making the money I want to be making and neither is Donnie being self-employed and running his own construction biz.  In all fairness to my company, I will say that I am still in training.  I will make a pretty decent living once I am fully trained, but I want more out of life and you should too.

Now, don't go online and do what I did.  Why?  Because there are a lot of scams out there.  Believe me, I did my homework before becoming involved with this company.  Let me do this for a little while, no need to ask me any questions, I won't answer them.  If I see it is indeed something that is lucrative for us, as my friends and family, I assure you that you will be the first to know.

In the meantime, pray for this endeavor that God will bless it.  My heart's desire is to be in the ministry fulltime.  This may be my means to get there.  I want to finish my book, as well as be able to help others, especially the mentally ill like my brother Scottie was.  Hopefully, your curiosity will get the better of you and you will stay tuned..................

Have a great weekend!~

A Fun Day In The Country

Today's entry is in my photo journal.  My daughter, her friend, Phillip, and I got my son to drive us around this past weekend to take some photos we have been wanting to get.  I think they turned out quite nicely.  Hope you enjoy them too!~

My Picture Postcard Journal

Am I the only one having trouble getting multiple pics into my AOL journals?  They used to have different great ways to display your pics.  Now I can't get but one at a time in.  When I try to put them in, it says my browser needs upgrading.  When I click on the link to upgrade the browser, it says I already have the lastest edition of the browser.  What the heck?

Have a blessed week!~

A Special Anniversary!~

My Handsome Prince

Let's go back in time, shall we?  Lets say........oh...about 30 years......(and yes, I am a little bit early with the story, but who cares? It's a great story).

On April 29th, 30 years ago, my best-half, Donnie, was in his twin brother Ronnie’s wedding.  The guy, David, who played the piano for the wedding told Donnie, "I know a little girl who has been wanting to meet you."

Now truth be told, we had already met once at a singing at a local church where these two attended.  At that time, David and Donnie were in a gospel group together.  David played the piano, Donnie played the drums.  Our first encounter was in February 1978.  We were introduced that night and I left that night knowing I would see him again.  I had a curfew and had to be home so I had to leave before the singing was over.  Donnie was actually on stage playing when I had to leave.  I looked back at him and smiled demurely all the while thinking to myself, "I will see you again, Donnie!"  And, yes he did smile back, although he was currently dating someone else.

Fast forward to April 29th of that same year.  David brings Donnie to see me.  We all go into my bedroom and we are playing records.  I told him he was lucky he caught me at home because I was usually out partying.  Me and my BIG FAT mouth!  Automatic turnoff, as his previous GF had been a partier and he wanted no part of that lifestyle.  He lived a Christian life and played drums in a Gospel group, for goodness sake!~

A few days went by and I didn’t hear from him.  My sister’s boyfriend was good friends with Donnie.  I asked him why I had not heard anything else from Donnie.  He said he didn’t know but would find out.  He called Donnie and Donnie explained that a previous GF had been a party girl and he wanted no part of that lifestyle.  My sister’s BF explained that I was actually a very good girl, but I had just come out of a bad relationship and this was the way I was choosing to drown in my sorrows (I would go out to the nightclubs and dance and even drink a little bit, not to the point of getting drunk, but we always had a designated driver anyway I am proud to say).  I loved to dance, still do, but today I dance at home and I no longer do booze at all!  He told him my father was a minister and I had been brought up well.

This sweet man, being the person that he is, came back to see me, not really to date me, but to "get me back into the fold," so to speak.  He asked me to go with him to his singing that weekend and I gladly obliged.  We spent the next two weeks together as much as possible, during which time we found out we had a lot in common and had the very same goals in life.  He was very attractive, I don’t mind telling you that.  After a date one night, we were standing in my parents driveway.  It was a beautiful starlit night, he was getting ready to kiss me goodnight.

We were talking and all of a sudden he says, "Do you really think you could spend the rest of your life with me?"

I replied, "There is no doubt in my mind, whatsoever."

Keep in mind we had only been dating two weeks.  To make a long story short, we were married five months later on October 7th, and the rest is history.

The rest of the story:

After getting married on October 7, 1978, we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy on August 6, 1982, who has grown into a fine young man and a beautiful baby girl on May 23, 1992 who is growing into a beautiful young lady wise beyond her years.  My family have been the greatest blessings in my life!~

I feel very blessed to have found my soulmate.  The thing I love most about him is he knows me better than anybody, he knows all my faults, he knows my strengths, yet he continues to love me.  He is the one person in my life that has made me feel beautiful.  I have always had a low self-esteem, but he tries to build me up.  He is the same way (has a low self-esteem) and I try to do the same thing for him by building him up.  I always tell him I have faith in him, even if he doesn’t have it in himself.  So, I posted the Lyrics to John Michael Montgomery’s beautiful song, "I Swear" in honor of the 30 years I have spent with the love of my life.

I Swear as recorded by John Michael Montgomery

(Frank J. Myers/Gary Baker)

I see the questions in your eyes
I know whats weighing on your mind
But you can be sure I know my part
cause Ill stand beside you through the years
Youll only cry those happy tears
And though Ill make mistakes
Ill never break your heart

I swear
By the moon and stars in the sky
Ill be there
I swear
Like the shadow thats by your side
Ill be there
For better or worse
Till death do us part
Ill love you with every beat of my heart
I swear

Ill give you everything I can
Ill build your dreams with these two hands
Well hang some memories on the wall
And when theres silver in your hair
You wont have to ask if I still care
cause as time turns the page
My love wont age at all

I swear
By the moon and stars in the sky
Ill be there
I swear
Like the shadow thats by your side
Ill be there
For better or worse
Till death do us part
Ill love you with every beat of my heart
I swear

I swear
By the moon and stars in the sky
Ill be there
I swear
Like the shadow thats by your side
Ill be there
For better or worse
Till death do us part
Ill love you with every beat of my heart
I swear
I swear

I just want to say to my husband:

<FONTSIZE=4>After 30 years, you still melt my butter, baby.  I love you with all of my heart and soul, my whole heart.  It belongs to only you and will always be that way.  You are God’s plan for my life.  No regrets.

All my love forever and always,

Suse
