I got the job!~

I got the job!~

I will be working from 4:00 PM until 12:00 AM.  I will work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays having Tuesday and Wednesdays off.  I will still be doing radiology medical transcription from home, now in my new office.  That will be very nice.  I can shut the door and have peace and quiet to work again!  Woo Hoo!~

As for my Dodge, the loan didn't go through for the couple who were trying to buy it, so for now, it's still mine.  This will give me a little more time to get my Buick LaSabre back on the road.  I have another scenario up my sleeve, but must talk to Hubby about it before it is decided for sure.  Will keep ya posted!~

I have an unspoken request that needs immediate prayer concerning my son for those of you who are my friends and prayer warriors.  For those of you who are my friends that are not of the Christian faith as I am, you can hold good thoughts for him specifically at 9:00 AM in the morning.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  We need a miracle in this situation.  I BELIEVE in them.  I BELIEVE in prayer.  Thanks so much!~

Hope everyone's week is a great one!~

Blessings!~

I am selling my baby!~ ::sadface::

I have to sell my baby.

I have had to leave my home that I raised my children in back in November.

Now I am having to sell my vehicle, which I dearly love.  My beloved FIL who passed away in October of 2006, my husband, and his brothers built the A-frame.  It meant a lot to me, to us.  My son decided to sell it.  He and his wife bought it after we moved to Colorado.  We had rented it from my FIL.  Since she left him, we moved back to Alabama to help him pick up the pieces.  It was hard for him to live in it because it held so many memories of her.

Since I lost my job (I felt they left me no choice but to quit), I can no longer afford the $422.00 a month payments on my truck.  I am heartbroken, but my niece and her husband are going to try to buy it.  It has been a rough year for them as well.  They need a vehicle, so should they be able to get the financing, it will be theirs.  The good news is I still own my 1997 Buick LaSabre.

It was a very nice car until my son wrecked it.

To be able to drive it, I have to replace the windshield, as it got broke in the accident (which my son has agreed to do), get the side mirror put back on, and get the front head light fixed, buy a tag, and get the insurance on it.  It is driveable as is, but I don't want a ticket and they will surely cite me if I am caught driving it with any of these violations, so it will probably be a couple of weeks or so before I can have it back on the road.  That really sucks.  ::big sigh:: So for now, I have no way to go until Hubby gets home from work each day.  Bummer!~

On a lighter note, the company I applied for called me back and left a message with my son for me to call them.  That is really good news!  I praise God for that!  I will still be doing medical transcription from home and I will have benefits again.  Woo Hoo!~

I will miss my truck, but in reality, it was too powerful and too big for me.  I had a hard time parking it.  I wouldn't mind getting a newer Buick LaSabre.  They really are very nice cars and so much easier for me to handle.  In spite of everything, I am in good spirits.  I love our new place.  I almost have everything in place.  Selling the truck takes that $400 a month off of us, which is a blessing in itself.  My LaSabre is paid for.  We will wait until we are better on our feet before we try to buy another vehicle.

Have a blessed week!~

Another Photo Shoot!~

I found this link in Monica's Journal for a different photo shoot.  I decided to play and submit a favorite photo, albeit a somewhat older one, but I took it of my children who were playing around.  Although my daughter has her hands around my son's neck, you can tell they are just playing around by the expressions on their faces.  I think their affection for one another is obvious in the photo:

A REAL FINE PLACE TO START

Doesn't David look like he could be singing Sara Evans lyrics to A Real Fine Place To Start to Carrie?

I also have another photo to submit, but please be advised I am not the one who took it since I am the subject, but I think this photo taken at my wedding could also fit.  This marriage has, so far, spanned over 29 years.  Hope we get 29 more!~

Daughter's Domain~Part II

I am ecstatic with the way my daughter's room turned out.  We took her chest of drawers out and we plan to put it in storage.  She had asked me not to put it in her room to begin with because she said it would be too crowded.  I should have listened to her.  It is amazing how much taking the chest of drawers out opened up her room.  She will kill me, but I am posting before I got a hold of it and after.  In all fairness to my daughter, she needed containers to organize better and it wouldn't be so hard for her to keep up.

Bed before Mom got a hold of it.

Bed after Mom got a hold of it.  Simba says hi.  Amy, notice the can of cheese is gone beside the bed?  ROFL.  I did leave her Dasani though.  Hee.....

Before Mom got a hold of it.

After Mom got a hold of it.

There are a box of videos to the right sitting in the floor.  I am going to get a plastic container to hold those for her that she can just slide under her bed for storage.  Now you know I gotta go retake this picture because I left that sock sticking out of the top left dresser drawer, lololol.

You couldn't even walk in here!  That chest of drawers has been removed.

The bookcase was beside the dresser.  We took the chest of drawers out and put the bookcase where it was.  See how much more room she has now?

The bookcase holds her electronics, books, and DVDs, along with lots of knick-knacks.  I plan to have Hubby build her some more shelving for the knick-knacks so the bookcase won't look so cluttered, but it still looks better and opens the room up by taking the chest of drawers out, moving the bookcase to that wall, and centering the dresser on the wall it is on.

If you scroll back, I think it was in the first pic, this chest was loaded down with junk.  I cleaned it off and put her favorite lights and photos on it.  This is a cedar chest my Mom kept my baby clothes in when I was little.  I have given her permission to paint it to match her purple room.  I hope she likes it.  She has not seen the finished product yet.

This concludes the tour of our new abode.  Hope you enjoyed your visit!  Please come again!~

Blessings!~

Interior Pics~Daughter's Domain

First up, her bathroom:

BEFORE:  Her bathroom is basically clean, just strowed because she doesn't put anything away.  :-(

We haven't really decorated it in a style yet, as she can't seem to make up her mind what she wants!~

AFTER:

It took all of three minutes for me to put things away.  Why can't she do that?  :-P

To be continued...........

Retakes of the Interior with my Camera!~

I told ya I have OCD.  I am making you look at some of the same pics again, lol.  I used my camera this time because I am more used to it.

I like this wall much better in the light of day.  Lookin' at the pic, I have already changed out a couple of things.  Hee.....the moose candleholder on the TV and the Moose Crossing sign by the door are now in my bathroom.  ;-)

My punched tin pie safe houses my great grandmother's china.

The wall by the fridge.  I love my little pig.  It says, "Some do Jane Fonda, I do Sara Lee."  If you need me to interpret, just ask.  ROFL.

I don't like the clutter on top of the fridge, but I have nowhere else to put it.  My daughter climbed up on this counter beside the fridge and put up my two remaining copper molds.  I think I may have already stated that in a previous entry.

A closeup of my tins and farm animals.

I love my shadow box and my milk glass fruit bowl.

Hope Ididn't bore you too much with my retakes!~

Blessings!~

Interior Pics~Master Bedroom

Okay!  Okay!  I admit to a teddy bear fetish also.  Satisfied?  Hee........oh, and that is Fonz takin' a snooze on the end of the bed.  I have a very large picture with some southern belles on it that is going over the bed and some wall sconces, but I don't have them up yet.  ::sigh::  Will retake when I get them up.

You have already seen the wall with the dresser in some of the first pics I took.

The wall by the bathroom.

These shelves contain two of my favorite pasttimes which consists of reading and music.  The top shelve holds many, but not all, of my cassette tapes.  The middle shelf holds some, but not nearly all, of my books, more teddy bears, and a couple of candles (always apple/cinnamon), and the bottom shelf is all of my record albums.  Hubby gave me the porcelain doll on the top shelf for Christmas many years ago, as I had always wanted one.  I bought the pictures above the shelves at a thrift store in Colorado.  I loved them because they are of my favorite season, Autumn, and they have ladies in both pics that reminded me of southern belles.  My SIL made the flower arrangement for me.  Did I mention Hubby built the shelves when he was in high school?  They are cedar.  I should have my head examined for painting them.  ::sigh::

Standing at the bedroom door looking across to the other side of the bedroom.

The antique picture is of my grandmother when she was very young.  As stated previously, I have a thing for teddy bears.  The stereo belonged to my Father, now deceased. It plays records, cassette tapes, and has a radio.  Love my music!~

Looking on that same wall in the corner by the bed is my sewing machine with my air purifier and victorian lamp sitting on top.  They are hard to see, but there are a couple of tins in the very far corner related to sewing. I bought the picture at a yard sale in Colorado.  It has more southern belles in it.  Are ya seein' a theme here?

The shelves are beside the bathroom door.  Hubby built them for me because I have no place for my linens, as there is no linen closet.  He built a smaller set beside them for my collection of Reader's Digest books, some favorite photos, and other little knick knacks.  Yep, hes a keeper!  Thanks, Honey! The gold-rimmed pic on the wall I also bought at a yard sale.  It is of different hats that I would picture a southern belle to wear.

The TV is going to go on the top shelf as soon as Hubby takes time to drill a hole so we can run the cable cord.  I wish he would hurry up, it is driving me nuts for it to sit in the floor like that on a tub I use for laundry!  The jewelry boxes and travel bag that are currently where the TV will go will then move into the closet when he gets my shelves built in there.  We plan to put a DVR under the TV where the red, white, and blue comforter is currently.

My exercise mat is currently stuffed beside the dresser.  It is going to go on the top shelf in our walkin closet when Hubby gets those built.  When we moved in, we only had one rod and a wire shelf.  We took that out.  We took a trip to Home Depot (our favorite place to shop) when we moved in and he put back the one rod on the wall looking into the closet for my long hanging clothes like dresses and robes, and then he put two rods on the side wall.  The first one holds my blouses and slacks and the second holds his shirts and pants.  We can put so much more in the closet now since he changed out the rods and added two.  Instead of one shelf, I will have two shelves.  So nice to have a Hubby who is a jack-of-all-trades!~

K, all that is left is my daughter's bedroom and her bathroom and since she seldom cleans it up, it may never get posted.  It drives me nuts!  Teenagers!  Sad thing is, I was just like her, lol.  My sis and I shared a room.  My sis, at the time, was the neat freak and I was the slob.  How did I become more like my sis in my old age and I am two years older?  That is one to ponder, for sure!  Hee.........

Hope you enjoyed the tour so far.  I have some retakes to post.  I didn't like some of the ones I posted the first time cuz I don't know how to use my daughter's new camera like I know how to use mine and that still ain't sayin' too much!  ::snort::

Blessings!~

Interior Pics~Master Bathroom

Standing in the master bedroom looking into the master bathroom., the sign above towel bar says Moose Crossing.  I have a few touches of the west in my master bath.  If I can't live in the west currently, then I shall bring it to me.  ;-)

Full view.

It is very hard to get shots of all of the bathroom at once because bathrooms are generally so small.  Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of room to move around.  The birdhouse on top of the wall cabinet again has the moose theme.

The same wall, just a little lower view.

The candleholder on back of the toilet also has the moose.

I love my navy, hunter green, and camel plaid shower curtain.  I bought it at a yard sale several years ago when we lived in Colorado.  Navy and hunter green are two of my favorite colors to decorate with.  It is hard to see, but there are tiny lines of yellow and cranberry in the shower curtain as well.

Same wall, lower view.  I love how the cranberry stands out against the hunter green, navy, and camel.

Okay, that was the master bathroom.  Onto the master bedroom..........

Blessings!~
