I'm Still Around!~

Dear Journal,

Yeah, I know.........it's been a while.  Life has kept me busy and, on top of not feeling up to par, it has been rough.  Still battling weakness and fatigue, not fun. :-(

Went to my 30th high school reunion on August 11th.  Was so great to see old friends again.  I danced my butt off!  I love to dance.  Bet you didn't know that about me!  It was so much fun.

My daughter has a new boyfriend, but the problem is even though she and her previous have been broken up since April 23rd, he doesn't want to let go.  He has even threatened to beat up her current boyfriend.  Guess he hasn't seen him yet.  ::giggle::  He is 6'3" and weighs 200 pounds at only 17.  Previous weighs 187 and is 6' at 18.

I absolutely adore the new boyfriend.  He treats my Carebear like she deserves to be treated.  He is so attentive to every little detail.  He carries her backpack for her, he opens the car door for her, he never screams at her or calls her names, and so much more, and here I thought I had married the last of the gents!~

It is very cool because they have so much in common.  At the same time, after what she has been through with the previous, I am scared for her too.  I don't want to see her get hurt.

The drama I was talking about in my last entry?  The new boyfriend's ex and one of her friends were threatening my Carebear and my Carebear's ex threatened the new boyfriend.  In one of the incidents, the police were called and a report filed against my daughter's ex.  I really care about her previous BF.  His is a sad story, but he is 18 now, he can rise above his past like Dave Pelzer who wrote, "A Child Called It."  My cousin was raised in bad surroundings and she rose above it.  I say Life is just what you make it!~

Our annual family reunion is this weekend.  Hope to get pics.  Gotta run.  I got housework to do and must work today a little later.  ::sigh::  Just wanted you to know I have not fallen off the face of the earth!~

Hugs and Kisses!~

Am I wearing a sign that says.............

Dear Journal,

Tell me something.............

Am I wearing a sign that says, "SEND ME ALL THE DRAMA, I LOVE IT," that maybe I can't see?  Remember when friends in school would tape a sign on back of your shirt that says kick me?  That is how I feel, but mine says something like, "I NEED ALL THE DRAMA YOU CAN SEND MY WAY!~

Geez Louise (and Thelma too)!~

I want peace in my life, not freakin' drama all the freakin' time!

Gawd!  Do I have bad Karma coming back to me or what (if I believed in Karma, that is)?  Every single time I turn around...........Drama, drama, drama................

I believe in God.  I am a good person.  I am faithful to my husband and I am a good wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, friend......

So, what gives?  Eh?  What say you?

Signed,

The Drama Queen

P.S.  PLEASE remember our troops in your prayers!~

Journal Updates

Dear Journal,

Has been a while, so I thought I would update.  Lots has taken place since my last entry.  We elected to have Prissie cremated.  She is still sorely missed.

On August 2nd, I turned 48 (Thanks Linda (fasttrack58) for remembering!

On August 3rd, my sister turned 46!  Happy Belated, Sis!~

On August 4th, my niece got married.  It was a beautiful wedding with lots of good food.  Congrats niece and new hubby!~

On August 6th, my son turned 25! Happy belated, my son.  I'm sorry we didn't get to celebrate on your birthday, but I hope to make it up to you this weekend and bake that strawberry cake you wanted.

I have been working very long hours for the hospital.  We have had three people out.  At one point, I was the only one typing.  Talking about pressure!  Last Friday, I worked 14 hours, so now you know I have not fallen off the face of the earth, I just have been busy.  Hope to catch up on my favorite journals this weekend!  Hey!  I can dream, can't I?  I must get back to work. ::sigh::  I am sooooooooooo tired.

Blessings!~

Susan

P.S.  Please remember the families who lost people in the bridge collapse, and the families of the kids bound for college who were brutally murdered in N.J.  Thank goodness there have been arrests and hopefully all will be found.  They do not need to be on the streets!  What a heinous crime, and for what? May the Holy Spirit comfort all of the families who have had recent losses in these situations.

GOD, I PRAY FOR YOU TO BLESS AMERICA, FOR IT IS ONLY WHEN SHE TURNS BACK TO YOU THAT LIFE WILL BE BETTER FOR ALL AND WE WILL ONCE AGAIN BE "ONE NATION UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL."  AMEN.
